Sojourning the Word of God

I wanted happiness.

I’m looking for happiness, when it’s been in the long term striving all along. It’s not about figuring it out, it’s about walking the road set before you. Nothing is guaranteed. It is how you handle those matters of life that are the fun parts which lead to victory or defeat. Time to give glory to God! The curse brought in a lot of problems. Working hard, pain, thorns, weeds, etc. All these never existed once before but with the breaking of belief – sin entered this world through Adam. Notice how Paul writes “through Adam”, not Eve even though she was the first to be deceived. Humanity rests on the shoulders of responsibility. We need more people seeing the truth and explanations of God as pure and righteous to get somewhere. God has set us free from the curse in Christ, however the curse still exists on this planet profusely. On every side we have people dying, getting sick, and being possessed by that felon the Devil! These are all effects of the curse, or the effects of not obeying the Lord God Almighty, and accepting his knowledge to be supreme to ours. Accept it God is higher, stronger, and faster. Nothing will ever change that. God bless you guys in Jesus name. Amen. Qsp.

Ever Wonder About ISRAEL?

IsraelAs Regards the Gospel, They Are Enemies…

“As regards the gospel, they are enemies of God for your sake. But as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:28-29)

In this passage it speaks of Israel, and more specifically practicing Jews, God fearing Israel, those who choose to believe in God and follow his ordinances. So how do we understand the Jewish faith today in relation to God and in relation therefore to the new covenant founded By God in Christ Jesus?

This passage shares that there is a mystery which God will still enact upon (v25). In v29 we see God’s gifts and callings are irrevocable. Therefore to the nation of Israel, God still has prior obligations to this people – based on their forefathers (v28). We all know this and this can be seen all throughout prophecy as well. The nation of Israel is a key player leading to and including the second coming of Christ. Therefore the questions appears – why is God still so active with this people, even though he’s made a “newer and better covenant” (Heb12:24)? And that is for ALL to come under. I say all because our mission still remains to the Jews first. We know how Paul was known to be called to the Gentiles, whilst Peter was known to be called to the Jews. God still pursues them relentlessly! So in summery this passage reveals that the Jewish people have been ‘temporarily hardened’ until the full number of Gentiles has come in (Rom11:25). This means therefore that, Yes Christianity IS the new and better covenant (based on grace not works), but at the same time whilst Israel is hardened, God is still faithful to his promises made to their forefathers. Does this mean that they’re exempt from believing in Jesus Christ? No definitely not, but it does mean that God will judge them accordingly. God bless, and have a great day! ~ From Quick Study Prophetic
