“That You Love One Another”
G’day and blessing by the mercy of Jesus Christ!…Something which has been on my mind of late is the capacity with which we can love one another as people. Jesus so inspiring-ly (yes, I just created a new word :)) said ‘love one another.’
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” Jn 13:34.
That love broke the social divide; it tore down the barriers of selectivity; and smashed open a place of free rest forever. If you’re feeling tired, broken or beat-up go to him and he’ll give the rar that has been promised. Then go and go yet still and give this unconditional grace to another in Christ’ full kind of love 😉 hallelujah amen 🙂
Something further which I like about the word ‘offering‘ is that it actually means a gift! Merriam-Webster defines gift as. “something voluntarily transferred by one person to another without compensation.” This is the demonstration of your love to another without expecting anything in return. Thus we conclude our little heading: Love Offerings, something given without expectation of an equal or greater reward in return. The reward is the giving.
